OUR MANDATE
The Local Civil Registry Office of Pintuyan shall be responsible for the appropriate and responsive civil registration process of vital events (birth, marriage and death) of all the constituents of the local government unit pursuant to the civil registry laws, and other pertinent laws, and its implementing rules and regulations

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
General functions of LOCAL CIVIL REGISTRY OFFICE
- Civil Registrar shall be responsible for the civil registration program in the local government unit concerned, pursuant to the Civil Registry law, the Civil Code and other pertinent laws, rules and regulations issued to implement them.
- Receive the application for the issuance of marriage license and after determining that the requirements and supporting certificates and publications thereof for the prescribed period have been complied with, issue the license upon payment of the authorized fee to the Municipal Treasurer.
- Develop plans and strategies on civil registry programs and upon approval thereof by the mayor implement particularly those which have to do with civil registry programs which the mayor is empowered to implement and which the Sanggunian is empowered to provide under the code.
- File, keep and preserve in a secured place the books required by law.
- Accept all registrable documents and judicial decrees affecting the civil status of a person.
- Issue certified transcripts or copies of any certified registered documents upon payment of the prescribed fee to the Municipal Treasurer.
- Transcribe and enter immediately upon receipt all registrable documents and judicial decrees affecting the civil status of a person in the appropriate civil registry books.
- Transmit to the office of the Civil Registrar-General within the prescribed period duplicate copies of registrable documents required by law.
- Prepare endorsement to OCRG for decided petition under R.A. 9048, R.A. 9255 and R.A. 10172. Legitimating and amended documents decided by regular courts.
- Assist, receive, prepare and decide all petitions for Correction of Clerical error of civil registry documents and after posting date, transit to the Office of Civil Registrar General for Review under the rules of R.A. 9048 and R.A. 10172.
- Prepare training designs on seminars and other related activities in upgrading better services to the clientele.
- Encode, keep and preserve a date base of all civil registry documents for easier access to the clientele.
- Coordinate with the Philippine Statistics Authority in conducting educational campaigns for vital registration and other statistics for the local government unit concerned.
- Annotate endorsed documents under R.A. 9048 (correction of clerical error), R.A 9255 (affidavit to use surname of father) and R.A 10172 (correction of clerical error), Legitimation and other amendments decided by regular courts.
- Exercise such other power and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.

Functions
- Prepare Civil Registry documents presented for registration.
- Receive Civil Registry documents for registration.
- Register Registrable documents and judicial decrees affecting the civil status of a person.
- Prepare and register legal instruments affecting the civil status of a person.
- Prepare and receive application for marriage license and after determining that the requirements and supporting certificate and posting thereof for the prescribed period have been complied with, issue the license upon payment of the authorized fee.
- Transmit to the office of the Civil Registrar-General within the prescribed period, duplicate copies of registered documents required by law.
Petitions, Records and Administration Section
- Receive and prepare supporting documents for petitions under R.A 9048 and R.A 10172 and other pertinent civil laws.
- Issue certified transcription or certified copies of registered documents.
- File, keep and preserve the civil registry books and registered documents.
- Prepare plans and programs of the Local Civil Registry Office.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the immediate supervisor.
- Prepare DPCR and IPCR targets and ratings.
- Maintain accurate recording in the logbooks for acceptance, receiving and releasing of civil registry documents and other administrative concerns of the office.
- Maintain the cleanliness and worthiness of all equipment including inventory of office supplies.
